IMPORTANT NOTE: This file is grossly out of date and will not be updated further. The original PSD is corrupt and I don't have the time/patience to make a new one with my group/work obligations. So use as you wish but bear in mind there are more up to date versions by other members that me! Thank you <3

BIG FILE OF DEATH. Download for Full view. Updated to reflect additions from the end of Omen of the Stars series. Anything released after that series has not been added to this list.

UPDATE: Please note that the kit name and warrior name "Moon" should NOT be used for the traditional Warrior Clans who lived in the forest or have moved to the Lakeside. Moon is a sacred word to them and they do not use it in naming. thedragongirl66 has noted that the Erins have pointed out that Moonflower was a name created in error. Please take this into account. Also note that New SkyClan may not have the same reverence for the word. So use the name "Moon" with caution. Thanks!

This is something I compiled for my fan fiction and realized it would be a good resource for people who RP for Warriors. I also plan on making a Warriors RP group sometime in the future and I'd rather avoid names that wouldn't exist in the Warriors world. Just saying. Blackberrypaw is NOT a good warrior name. Seriously guys - try harder please.

Anyways, all names in black have been already used at least once in the official Warriors novels. Red names are other names that haven't been used but may be used in the future including some other animals from England where the first forest is from. I think it is a little odd that wolves are included as a name for an official character, as wolves are extinct in Britain. Oh well. And thank you whichever Erin wrote Yellowfang's Secret and added Newt and Deer as kit names for characters. Maybe this list is now unofficially official? Hah - I highly doubt it.

As for some of the names I included that have asterisks, especially more than one, they are species of plants or animals that I could not determine a solid location for, so those are pretty much guesses as to whether or not they would be present. The three asterisk ones are migratory and only occur rarely in England from the information I found online.

So, onto the important part after my rambling: To use this reference to generate a warrior name, choose a kit name from any of the four columns to the left. For example Muntjac (I think that word is so awesome, it's not even funny), then choose a name from the far right column under Warrior Names, for example, fur. So your final warrior cat's name is Muntjacfur. You can make endless combinations from this list, probably more than the list that Victoria Holmes has compiled, since she stated they have a list, but not enough for warriors in future books. This more than provides for at least 100 generations of warriors and then some after compiling all the different combinations. They use "Ash" enough that they can expand to other word combinations. Also, repetition of a kit name is okay since there are more than 50 warrior end names in the list. You can have Fireclaw, Fireshine, Firestorm, Fireflower, Firesong, Firefeather, Firestep, Firepelt, Firefur, Firescar, Firefang (lol Pokemon reference), and so on. Firestar and Fireheart aren't the only ways to use Fire as a warrior name.

You may add this piece to your Warriors RP with only two rules attached - you must still give me credit for compiling this list. The other is not to sell this or use it for sale, since this is a reference aid for RPs based on copyrighted work. I know they encourage fan fiction and the like but still. No stepping on people's toes please. That is all. Other than that, have fun using this list to help you come up with a more unique name for your Warriors characters. I'll be adding other resources later, but those will be solely information on cat fur patterns and other genetic information. I realize that genetics of cat breeding isn't everyone's forte, but I love the genetics behind pretty much everything, so I want to do a few on those for people to better understand their warriors and how their kits might look.

Warriors Logo and Warriors storyline belong to Harper Collins Publications and the Erin Hunters.
